Make a Referral

To make a referral, call the UNC Hospitals Transfer Center at 800-806-1968 and ask to speak with the UNC Pediatric Critical Care physician on call.

Please also use this number for all ECMO/ ECLS (Extracorporeal Life Support) referrals.

Transport

County communication centers and hospital medical personnel can call UNC Air Care at 800-247-6264 to arrange transports via air and ground services.

Visitor Restrictions

Beginning November 14th, children age 11 and younger currently are not permitted in the Newborn Critical Care Center, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, or Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at UNC Hospitals. Read more >>
